T-Shirt Quilt

This was a project from a few years ago- I decided I had waaaay too many t-shirts that I didn't want to wear anymore, but I had no idea what to do with them! Luckily, I found a wonderful book called Generation T: 108 Ways to Transform a T-Shirt, so I didn't have to get rid of all my old shirts.

I started by cutting even squares in the fronts of all the shirts, and sewing all of them together. This is the point when the t-shirt book said you were "done", but I didn't like that you could see all of the stitching and connections in the back, and so I also added a turquoise backing to the quilt. It is definitely the comfiest blanket I've ever owned, and the one that starts the most stories!

I already have another pile of shirts in my closet waiting to become matching pillows!
